Do you have any real thoughts on this IB deal?

INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE MIDDLE YEARS PROGRAM!!! Do you really get it?!?....Lakeshore Middle School has been named as an implementing school for the Middle Years Baccalaureate Program. I mean guys that's huge. I am screaming in my head I am so excited. What kind of opportunities will we create for our children as a result of additional funding and professional development to make some of the dreams we have for our students a reality. In Educating the Net Generation: How to Engage Students in the 21st Century, Pletka discusses our ability to really make the world a smaller place because of technology. Kuss is working with a Pen Pal group in Uganda......experiences being created.

As the knowledge increases the excitement will increase...yah, think? Or is the excitement there and I just don't know it?

I am so excited about this program that it is hard to quit working when I get home. For me, the Middle Years Program, is just such an obvious extension of eveyrthing we believe at Lake Shore. We have long strived to improve the lives of our students academically, but also socially as well. What I see with the MYP is a framework to organize these efforts. The grant money is amazing also! I think when the faculty starts to see the technology coming in to the school, the excitement will level will go through the roof.
