Blogging with ME?

I really asked myself whether I should invite my new family to blog with me. I was on a roll with blogging and right around FCAT, like many of us, I fell off the wagon. The work we do is so great it is necessary to chronicle what we do and share it with others.

In Failure is Not An Option,, Blankenstein and Fullan discuss systemic reform. One of the areas that speaks to me the most reiterates, reform that is systemic is also systematic. We are in an era of both. During my short tenure at Andrew Jackson, I have already determined that the majority of the faculty and staff are passionate about the students and their growth. I believe that very quickly the others will get on board. After a voluntary professional development session a teacher emailed me and stated that after that session they had decided not to just take the "wait and see" approach to our change, but to become an integral part of the process. I challenge you all to become a part of our transformation. It will happen because we make it happen.

Included in this blog are some really great postings. Even though they are from my former life, P.A., they are still quite beneficial. I encourage you to read them and grow.

Remember the only constant is change. Be convinced that our change equals growth.
